Tali'Zorah vas Normandy by AzureWyvern Tali'Zorah vas Normandy by AzureWyvern
100% by hand. Would love to learn photoshop one day because it makes everything look infinitely better :C

Colored pencil.

It's the storyarch my Tali went through, not going to explain it in case I give a spoiler away. Tried to make the piece so it wouldn't give away spoilers, but if you know the parts in the game, you'll be like "OMG I REMEMBER THAT!"

Backgroud could have better composition..but it was an idea my brain vomited out, so there wasnt a whole lot of planning involved.

Please do not use this without permission. Just ask...99% of the time it's fine. And I really dont want to start watermarking stuff.

****EDIT**** Fixed her eye :)

This is gorgeous! The background kind of reminds me of Franz Marc, with the blending of abstract and tangible lines. For something your brain just vomited out it's pretty great. =D

While digital art is super cool, there's something about the texture of classic media that's just really beautiful in and of itself. ^^

There is something lovely with 'real' textures, but classic media is getting sent to the backburner (commercially at least. Not to mention digital art seems more 'crisp' and has a lot more possibilities.

I *have* photoshop...its just a matter of taking the time to learn it which I would like to do once I get in a stable work schedule :/

We shall see!

Thanks! They're prismacolors, so the pencils do all the work with their vibrancy!

Thank you! Prismacolor colored pencils, though I started with washes of watercolor to map out where the colors were going to go/ how they would blend. My only complaint is that the black has been fading...need to look into fixitives ><

Most definitely. Fixatives are relatively inexpensive and you can pick them up at any arts & crafts store. Loooove it. You should seriously frame it to keep it protected, too. And hang it up. Cuz. It's that nice.
