Alright...still have a lot to learn, but this I think is work leaps from my usual fully digital work. I think the beast is MUCh more one with the background than the previous images I've worked on.

However, the scales don't sit well with me. I used a brush on multiply to create them...so I did hit a road block there, but that's why I post it here!

Learned a LOT making this. I did go too overboard with the wrong "kind" of details, which I hope to learn from and rectify in future works.

There is also a blue variation of this image I am posting next.

Again, inspired by "Jesse-Rebock" and "Genzoman"

Both of these are GORGEOUS.

I have only one complaint. The yellow belly-scales and horns have a slightly "Pasted on" appearance. The belly scales most especially. Not sure why. Something to do with the elbow of the left foreleg. O.o; Maybe darken the yellow just behind the elbow to make it look more overlapping of the scales? Just a suggestion ^_^

But really, the details in this are awesome.

I agree...they look more..."metallic" than scaly. I dont get the feeling so much with the horns.

When I put "texture" on them, it just looked chessier, like I ran a texture filter on the whole thing (which I didnt).

Gonns try the darkening idea...I think that may make it more..."one" without the "LOL I LIEK 2 PLAY WIT BRUSHES"

Thankya!
